We
got a deg of Puloa prepared from local cook for
around 60-70 People got it packed in plastic bags
and brought the deg to the Dargah, I got my good
friend Mazhar Khan, Sharif Bhai and My Cousin
Amir along with me to distribute food. We distributed
the Food offered chadar on behalf of the lady
who sent us money for doing this work.
When
i saw the Dargah and Masjid today I was really
heartbroken to see the walls without plaster,
even the masjid and dargah walls were all black
no color no lights no decoration even in the HOLY
Month of Ramdan. The Trust is not taking care
of the Dargah the Trust earns daily Lacs of Rupees
but still these people do nothing for the Dargah.
For the past so many years as we have watched and
visited it, no repairs have been carried out to
the entire structure. Being thrust into the sea,
the structure faces massive damage each year and
repairs, plastering, reconstruction and painting
are required every year. As you
walk into the Haji Ali dargah compound, and you
notice the side structure is covered in the brocade
cloth offered at the dargah, the pillars are cracking
and almost split in half, almost ready to tumble
down. With crowds of pilgrims and visitors around,
one fears to imagine the consequences.
HAJI
ALI Sanatorium has been closed since 2003 because
the building is in a very bad condition, plasters
and stones are falling from the structure and
the whole sanatorium has become too risky to live
in, The locals say that even after earning lakhs
of Rupees Daily Trust does not care for the Dargah
or the Sanatorium nor the Masjid and hence there
is a court case going on the TRUST,
There
is Court Case going between the Goverment and
the Trust as the Goverment wants to put a Neutral
Auditor on the Trust or Take over the Trust from
the hands of these Thieves and do some constructive
work for the dargah.
If
anybody wants we can go and offer chadars and
make dua on your behalf we do this work as a social
responsibility Inshllah we will also send you
Tabarruk from the Dargah inshllah.

Our Experiences : It was a very heart warming and great experience to compile
this project. Talking and interacting with the
Trustees, Local stall owners and Beggars was a
experience never to be forgotten.
Haji Ali is a handsome example of Indo-Islamic
architecture. In fact, many visitors to the place
are attracted only by the beauty of the site.
A number of pilgrims come here for thanksgiving.
The widespread belief is that whoever prays to
the deity here is never disappointed.
Whether as a place of pilgrimage or as representative
of Islamic architecture, Haji Ali is an integral
part of Mumbai’s heritage and Indian culture.
